Air Seychelles stands proud to have been chosen as the preferred airline to carry the nation’s sports delegations to Antananarivo in Madagascar for the Indian Ocean Island Games 2023.

This comes after a charter agreement was signed between Sandy Benoiton, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles and Principal Secretary, Mr Ralph Jean-Louis on behalf of the National Sports Council on 24 th July 2023.

Over the course of two days, three chartered flights transported a total of 477 athletes and officials as well as the President of the Republic, Mr Wavel Ramkalawan, First Lady, Mrs Linda Ramkalawan and the Minister for Youth, Sports and Family, Mrs Marie-Celine Zialor to the games.

The Indian Ocean Island Games is a multi-sport tournament for the athletes from Islands of the Indian Ocean which are held every four years in which Seychelles will be participating in 15 disciplines out of 19.

The Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles, Sandy Benoiton says “Given that Air Seychelles is the national airline, it is an honour for us to be able to extend our support to our Seychelles delegation traveling to the games. We are indeed proud and we pledge to assist as much as we can whenever we can, as we encourage an active lifestyle through sports.”

Air Seychelles will also be bringing the team back home from Madagascar on the 04 th , 05 th and 06 th of September.
