Air Seychelles increase visibility about ground services department at Seychelles Tourism Academy recruitment fair
Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, will present an exciting stand at the Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA) recruitment fair scheduled to take place on Thursday, 18 October, 2018 at the institution premises in La Misere.
Apart from learning about the various job opportunities available at Air Seychelles specifically within the ground services department, students participating in the fair will also have the chance to meet with the Air Seychelles recruitment specialist on a one-to-one basis to submit their résumés. Following that, the recruiters will assess the résumés on site and conduct on the spot interviews with potential candidates to speed up the recruitment process.
Sandy Benoiton, Chief Operations Officer of Air Seychelles said: “This year Air Seychelles embarked on a strategic transformation plan and as such the structure of the airline was re-organised to fit the new business model.
“As an organisation, we need to ensure that we operate efficiently hence participating in this job fair will not only allow the students to learn about the various functions of the organisation but also to gain useful insight specifically about the opportunities within the ground services department where at the moment we are lacking manpower to support the various units given the increasing number of customer airlines operating at the Seychelles International Airport.
“As most of the functions within the ground services department involves direct contact with guests and since STA has an intense customer service training programme, we are pleased to invite the students to visit our stand this coming Thursday to meet our recruiters face-to-face, to apply for a specific role within the ground services department and to eventually join the dynamic aviation industry.”
Air Seychelles signed a memorandum of understanding with the Seychelles Tourism Academy in September 2018 to provide internship opportunities to students from the tourism establishment. The airline is expected to welcome a new batch of students in early December at its premises for three months as part of the internship programme.
