Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has planned a special programme of activities to celebrate the 40th Seychelles National Day, which will culminate in a spectacular flyover with three aircraft.

National day festivities will start on 26 June with a four-day expo at the Roche Caiman Sports Complex, where Air Seychelles will have a stand presenting its inflight product and offering fantastic flight promotions, competitions and fun activities for the children.

Visitors to the Air Seychelles marquee will have a chance of winning one of 40 flight tickets between Mahé and Praslin as well as taking part in a quiz whose winners will be entered into a raffle draw for two Business Class tickets with Air Seychelles.

During the event, Air Seychelles pilots, first officers and cabin crew will talk about their roles, and the airline will also host an art corner where children will be invited to paint the Air Seychelles livery 40 years from now.

The celebrations will culminate in Air Seychelles flight crew, ground services staff, engineers and technical crew participating in a parade in front of thousands of people at the Roche Caiman stadium, which will be followed by a breath-taking flyover of an Airbus A330 and two Twin Otter aircraft.

“Air Seychelles has planned a number of promotions and activities to entertain our guests which, culminating in an unforgettable flyover by a wide-body Airbus A330 flanked by two of our Twin Otters.

“It will be a sight to remember, providing thousands of people with a rare glimpse of our largest aircraft and our smaller turboprops flying in formation.

“The flyover is a great way of showcasing the contribution these aircraft make in bringing visitors to our shores, simplifying travel between our islands, and supporting economic growth, which is one of our main goals at Air Seychelles.”

The national airline has an ongoing promotion in celebration of the 40th National Day of Seychelles.  Under the promotion guests can enjoy a 40% discount in both economy and business class to all Air Seychelles operated destinations: Abu Dhabi (Dubai with bus transportation included in the price), Paris, Beijing, Antananarivo, Mauritius, Mumbai and Johannesburg.

Promotional fares are on sale until 3 July, for first outbound flight to be completed by 30 November, 2016. In accordance to the newly introduced Air Seychelles baggage policy, all guests travelling in economy class may carry 2 bags 23kg each, while guests travelling in business class may carry 2 bags 32kg each.
