Air Seychelles celebrates silver jubilee of Mauritius route
Air Seychelles celebrates 25 years of operations between Seychelles and Mauritius today, Friday 31 March 2023.
Earlier this week, passengers on flight HM049 to Mauritius – operated by the airline’s A320 aircraft, were invited to commemorate this milestone with specially made cupcakes on board. The airline also celebrated this occasion with a silver jubilee promotion to Mauritius with booking dates between 23-31 March for travels until 31 October 2023.
First launched in March 1998, Air Seychelles currently operates twice weekly flights to Mauritius with additional flights made available during the peak seasons.
Acting Chief Executive Officer, Sandy Benoiton remarks, ‘Today we celebrate a silver jubilee. 25 years of connecting people between our islands to those of our neighbour’s, Mauritius. I am extremely proud and honoured that the service has lasted for so many years, and yet continues to thrive. I would like to thank all of our past and future guests for your support throughout the years and for choosing to fly with our national airline. We’re also thrilled to announce, that as from April, we will be increasing flights to three per week.’
Mauritius is a beautiful tropical island renowned for its coastal bounties with pristine beaches and extensive coral reefs set against the backdrop of sculptured volcanic mountain scenery. A short flight of two and a half hours from the main island of Mahe, it has become and remains a popular shopping and holiday destination for the Seychellois.
In addition to Mauritius, the national carrier of the Seychelles flies to Mumbai, Johannesburg and Tel Aviv while also operating charter flights on demand.
