Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles and Air Botswana, the national airline of Botswana have signed a Special Prorate Agreement (SPA) to provide travellers with seamless access and transfers opportunities onto each other’s respective route networks, effective 1 May 2018.

As part of the agreement, guests travelling with Air Seychelles will now be able to book and purchase tickets from Seychelles to Johannesburg and onwards to the exciting cities of Gaborone, Francistown and Maun.

Remco Althuis, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles, said: “We are indeed very happy to begin working with Air Botswana our new interline partner to provide our guests with more travel options in South Africa.

The partnership with Air Botswana is important for Air Seychelles as it will further widen our network reach beyond Johannesburg in addition to providing our leisure, trade and commerce travellers with more travel options and seamless connectivity to the two main largest cities in Botswana, Gaborone and Francistown including the tourism capital city of Maun.”

Agnes Khunwana, General Manager of Air Botswana said: “The signing of this SPA is a confirmation of Air Botswana’s commitment to provide more travel options for our passengers.  It offers a unique high-quality Wildlife and Beach holiday combination, by connecting our shared networks in Johannesburg.

“We also hope to deepen our interline partnership later this year by introducing code-share flights between three cities in Botswana and the islands of the Seychelles”.
