Qualifications and skills
- Degree, ideally in a relevant discipline (e.g. economics, business management, applied statistics)
- Minimum 10 years’ work experience, of which at least 5 years spent in a related/similar role, and at least 5 years in a senior management role
- Relevant industry experience an added asset
- Highly computer literate (all MS Office packages)
- Fluency in English, with fluency in other languages an added asset
- Strong negotiation skills

Summary
- Manage the entire sales organisation, including local and international sales. Develops and maintains relationships with key decision makers within DMCs, agencies, tour operators and GSA’s to meet sales targets.
- Implement and maintain proper policies and processes for the sales, call centre and central reservation control departments. Ensure that the relevant policies support the commercial requirements of the business.
- Oversee all aspects of sales distribution, with particular emphasis on increasing direct traffic, and minimising costs of indirect sales.
- Create and establish more efficient distribution channel, with particular focus on HM channel assets via e-commerce platforms such as the internet booking engine and app.
- Oversee the partnerships with the Passenger Sales System (PSS) and Global Distribution Systems (GDS) companies, ensuring maximum exposure of products in a cost effective manner.
- Responsible for the negotiation, development and management of other airline partnerships, including interline and codeshare relationships.
