Air Seychelles has recorded a 95% load factor on flights operated between Dubai and the Seychelles during the peak Eid holiday period.

The seasonal route serviced by the airline’s A320neo aircraft on 16 and 19, July 2021 respectively, carried over 300 visitors to the island.

Delighted with the performance of this route, Air Seychelles acting chief executive officer, Sandy Benoiton said: “We are pleased to offer travellers the choice and connectivity when planning their getaway to the popular holiday destination, in addition to supporting Seychelles efforts to boost tourism to the island.

"Despite the competition in the market and the flight being operated on a weekly basis, the great story we have created to build traffic on this route, from the convenient flight timings, through to the attractive fares, including free-quarantine one week holiday packages to the archipelago, has definitely enabled the airline to record this great achievement today.

"As travel starts to ease across the globe, keeping up the momentum, Air Seychelles will continue to seek opportunities within the region and beyond to rebuild its network, safeguard its revenue and increase tourism to the Seychelles".

The last flight to Dubai departed Seychelles on 24, July 2021, with a total of 143 passengers. The airline will be adding more flights on this route in November as part of its seasonal schedule.
